Please tell me there is a room with in TFP just to get it off my chest. Using a $16 taylor big box test kit i get high yellow FC, that looks like 5+, same water 30 min later pool store says 2.4. WHAT? Man I can not wait for my 2006c to show up..

Pool store testing is like a ouija board. Same level of accuracy.

Pool store "free" testing, one dip guess strips and even the OTO for chlorine test are all prone to result variability and lack of precision that will force you out on a limb if trusted. The method of sampling, sample storage and time between sample time and test time can increase error as well. Aspects of owning the kits TFP recommends I value are testing repeatability on site, options of test precision based on sample size, low cost per test, ease and safety of use and of course accuracy.
How long until we have a test kit or reagent shortage?

O-Yes, Tried and failed. I have no doubt, it would be cheeper to dump entire pool and refill with fresh water, than follow their guidlines this time.
