Pool returns

I have three of these returns in my inground pool. They are not directional as far as I can see. Can someone identify them and tell me how to make them directional, or how they come out to change them? As usual, pool builder of no value after sale.

Those are directional returns although with that version they may be stiff and difficult to move. I used to have that type in my pool and it was easier to move them by inserting a short piece of PVC pipe in the hole to change direction.

Thanks so much, I’ll try putting in a little piece of pvc pipe and see if I can move them a bit to direct them towards the skimmer. They seem to be the cheapest and most basic thing that could be installed.
