My water is actually balanced, I still need to check the PH though but everything else checks out, water is fairly clear will have to filter and vacuum of course, but otherwise should I proceed with a SLAM anyway?

Numbers look quite good. I would recommend continuing with cleaning and simply do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test. Good job!.

I have never once slammed my pool. Your numbers look good. Keep your eye on the chlorine of course.
