Pool math question about Jandy swg

My CYA is about 50 and I’m gradually raising it up. We had people over yesterday afternoon and now my FC has dropped to 2.5. The pool math app is telling me to run my swg at 2% and run it for 100 hours to get back to 3.5 ppm. The app has my swg correct as a Jandy aquapure 1400 and my Pool size as 15k gallons. Do I have something set up incorrectly elsewhere in the app?

Not sure I understand the issue with the APP if the info is set-up correctly, but I would add liquid chlorine ASAP. It happens sometimes. I always keep a jug handy for an emergency like this. Don't rely on the cell to increase FC that fast, use liquid to try and avoid algae.

That’s what I was thinking too. I bought six jugs of liquid chlorine when we opened the pool in case of emergency. Seems like this might be a time to use it to prevent an outbreak. Thanks @Texas Splash. You’ve been a great help to me both during our construction face and now during the first month of knowing our pool.

The app isnt telling you do do anything on its own. Its saying that if you run it at 2% for 100 hours, itll raise the FC to the target. But if you change the 2% to another percentage, itll give you a different pump run time. You can choose either pump run time or % power and itll show the math to get to your target. You just need to adjust what your goal is and see.

I see it now. The run time had 100 hours set so the recommendation was 2% for 100 hours. Thank you!
