I live in north Florida. It has been raining really bad in the last few days and my liner has been floating since last night. I attached some pictures. My liner came off the wall, all the way around. And there seems a lot of water behind the liner. Today has been very sunny. And I just let the pool sit there for the whole day. When I came home from work in the evening, the water level came down about 1 inch. I assume that was cause by the ground water receding, or there may be a leak (hopefully not). However, there still seems a lot water behind the liner. Does it take a long time for that water to go away by itself (or will it ever go away)? Or should I find a pool professional to pump it out ASAP? Thanks for your help in advance!

 Welcome to TFP!!!

It should be able to drain out the same way it came in.

Do you have a well point near the pool to pump ground water away? If you do, you could get a sump pump running from there.

Thanks for your reply. The liner went back to position after about 2 days. The wall looks ok. A lot of new wrinkles developed at the bottom. I actually had small wrinkles developed at the bottom all the time. For a long time I thought it was caused by pool chemicals. Now I realized, my liner may have been floating from time to time, after a heavy rain.
A small portion of the liner came out of the track. I was able to put it back in with hot water.... This is a nightmare, but not the end of the world. Hope this post helps other people not to get panic when the liner floats.
