Hi all, and thanks for any advice in advance!
Before I get the standard "call a pro" advice, I absolutely will, but what I am doing is trying to see what options there are or what other people have done. Here's me issue
1. The light niche was rusted, and the mounting ring had come off the all metal niche
2. The pool "experts" installed a new metal light mounting ring but did not even bond it to the remaining niche, the just secured it with concrete
3. there is brass conduit going to the niche and bonding wire that goes to the equipment
There seems to be 3 options
1. Remove a section of the concrete pool deck, install a new metal light niche, and reinstall a 120v or low voltage light
2. Try to install a non-electrified bonding device without tearing the deck up
3. Pull up the deck and remove the conduit and old light niche then install a bonding device
I don't mind there being no light, but a low votage light might be OK.
Thanks for any advice.
