Pool leaking

Good Afternoon all,

I noticed this morning that the pool is losing water. I measured it about 7 inches from the top of the skimmer (approx 10am this morning). Its a fiberglass pool, so you could see the white sides from the house. The water was just above the inlet of the skimmer.

I decided to let the pump run, trying to see if once below the skimmer line it would stop. It is now just below the line of the skimmer (630pm). I have decided to turn off the pump for the night.

There is no water from the pump, at least not above ground, nothing is leaking I can see, and I don't see any visible cracks anywhere in the pool.

I am unsure what to really do except wait and see what happens. I am guessing an underground pipe has a leak, was hoping for a skimmer pipe but wont know til I see if water goes down more overnight I guess.

I was curious if there is a decent way to close the wall drains? I have two wall drains on the deep end and I am guessing maybe one of those pipes is maybe got a small leak. Is there like a cover or some way to close them off?

I walked around the pool and I dont see any wet grass anywhere, except in the middle between the pool and a retaining wall, it is always wet there, so hard to tell if this is from pool or recent rain.

Not really sure what else I can do... any suggestions?

Thanks
