Pool Heater and Elevation

Pool heater went out after many years of service. Looking to replace it with another natural gas unit. The previous unit was a RayPak 266 so I am plumbed and wired for that. Hangup is that I am at 3200 elevation and it seems the bulk of what I can find is for 0-2000 elevation. How big a deal is elevation/orifice when I am not too far off from 2000 feet?

Also, if anyone has ordered one in the past and had a good experience, I am happy to take recs. Thanks.

I would call Rheem directly and ask their technical support. Theoretically, yes, a gas furnace should be de-rated at high elevations to avoid a gas-rich mixture but the standard is usually set up to 2000 ft and then a small percentage derating every 1000 ft above that. My guess is it will make little difference in the heaters operation at 3,200ft but their techs may say otherwise.
