just wanted to share the results of our pool deck renovation!

as the pool was not bonded, while everything was up, i took the opportunity to dig to the pool walls and connect them in a few points (it takea forever to drill through 2 plates of steel) as well as the ladder, all the remesh, and leave a couple of stray ends of copper for future fence and lighting
i also moved the pool ladder to the side closer to the shallow end return to promote more water movement around it (by the way, should I drill holes into the ladder tubes to improve circulation?)
currently we have to seal the concrete, drill holes for cover anchors, and i have to still caulk. i plan to use a butane torch to drop the expansion joint 1cm or so below the surface then use some self leveling caulk (does the substance of the caulk matter? silicone vs polyurethane)
any other advice or feedback is greatly appreciated. thank you!
