Since I haven't had much time to update this thread I'll attempt to capture what has since occurred from the plumbing back in February.
3/3/21:
Artistic banding was installed.
3/5/2021 - approximately 3/8/2021:
The gas line was ran for the outdoor kitchen. I'm not going to lie, but the installers didn't do it to code, and had to redo it (depth). Then an inspection was rescheduled for the gas line, which it then failed again because of the ending cap not being the correct type. The third time the gas company came out after finding about the failed inspection they re-pressurized the gas line, and with a different inspector it finally passed. This back and forth went on for a few days between the contractor coming out and running the gas line and the inspector squashing their dreams of passing inspection.
3/5/21 and 3/6/21:
PB's crew came out for prep on the gunite for plaster, and shot the plaster the following day.
3/8/21:
Pool was acid washed by the PB, and water was filled. It took approximately a day and we estimate the pool to be 8,880 gallons.
3/10/21:
I met with our designated "pool school" person who was able to get the pump up and running, which started the process of brushing and brushing of the pool. Not to mention that the day the pool was filling the decking was getting installed. As they were installing the decking they would throw the sand in the pool. So I had to clean the filter three times to get the decking sand out of the pool on top of the dust the plaster was producing. Did I mention I brushed the pool?
3/23/21:
Installation of the pool fence is done, and up in a day. I highly recommend an auto shut gate for anyone going down the path of a pool fence.
Also during this time period our lights were installed in the bubbler and the two in the pool. Still awaiting for a controller to have the three sheer descents light up, but at least I have lights so I can brush the pool!
Fast forward to today we're awaiting them to finish some punch list items on our overall pool. However, they seem to be hitting a road block with our outdoor structure and kitchen. Supposedly this has been in the works since November, but nothing has come to fruition. I knew at the beginning of this process it would be a challenge to say the least, but getting a pool built amid a COVID pandemic has been rather daunting to say the least.
I'm sure I've missed some other items or visits by the pool builder, but I wanted to get the thread more current and up to date. I've added an overall picture from our security camera so you can see an overall picture of how things ended on the pool side of the build.
