So for the past few years I have been using the Polaris brand sponges, I would buy them in a 6 pack or so and they would wear out fairly quickly, seemed like every other month or so. The sponge that came with the robot lasted like a year or so, much better material I believe. I found that a Big Daddy, kin to Scrub Daddy is the best alternative. I waited this entire year to post this as I wanted to verify that it works. I purchased two of these Big Daddy sponges and cut a small hole in the center to feed the tail end through. The square ends / sides posed a small issue getting caught on things, so I shaved off the corners and it works great. These are way cheaper and last 10 times longer, I figured it may help others.
