Hi. We purchased a house with a pool last year. We always struggled last year when connecting and disconnecting the Polaris - either it was nearly impossible to connect or disconnect, requiring obscene force or if it went in, it would pop off once the filter was turned on. Sometimes, it would go in smoothly and work like a charm. This year, first time in went smoothly, when trying to disconnect it was stuck. We ended up having to unscrew it from the return port (removing the UWF). Now it won't stay in at all (we out the UWF back in). Connects beautifully, seems tight, turned on the pump 1/2 way because I thought maybe it was getting too much pressure, works for 2 min then pops out. Please help! I don't want to manually vacuum!!

Are you sure you’re pushing/twisting enough for it to lock into the tabs in the UWF? Maybe the tabs are broken? Either way, I’d get some silicone grease to put on the o-ring to make it easier.
I had a Pentair connection ( very similar to Polaris ) do that. Turned out one of the tabs was worn way down and would not hold. Buy a new one, lube it up and see if that helps. Remember you have to push Polaris hose connection in, turn 1/4 turn, then gently pull out Polaris hose connection to lock it in.
Well, I ended up purchasing a whole new connection assembly and it works perfectly! Thanks for the input everyone.
