Polaris 9550 trouble

My Polaris 9550 had a bad motor block and I got a new one. I also have a brand new control unit. The only thing that hasn't been replaced is the cable.
It works now except once it climbs up to the waterline, it shows an Error 10 and shuts down.
I've pulled on the cable while it is running and it has no effect, so it seems the cable is good.

Does anyone have any ideas what I could try to resolve this? Weird.

Hmmm, You can get an Err 10 if it comes out of water, but that does not sound like the problem. The only thing I can think of is that the contacts in the connector from the cable into the new motor block might be dirty or loose(maybe this was your original problem too?). You can disconnect the cable there, clean the contacts with a very small file, spray electrical contact cleaner in there and then use a small dab of dielectric grease to prevent water from fouling those connections. Visually check out the connector pins too.
