Hey all. Builder installed a Polaris 280 with the blue pressure plate in the quick disconnect. The rpms on the wheels were low so they recommended upping the main pump’s rpms during cleaning. Had to crank the pump to nearly full speed to get the cleaner RPMs to bottom of the target range.
Experimented and pulled the blue pressure plate out of the quick disconnect. The wheels are running at the right rpms and I can have the main pump speed as low as I want.
Only question is that even when the cleaner is not on, the water flowing into the cleaner jets and out the back is still pretty strong and almost drives the wheels to move (it doesn’t actually roll but it’s on the edge)
Do I care? I feel like I’d rather run the pump at slower speeds but don’t want extra pressure or flow wearing the cleaner out prematurely. Or do I not need to worry about it? Thanks!
