Plumbing location of new SWG

I would like to add a SWG to my pool setup. I typically use liquid bleach with an occasional chlorine puck in the feeder. My thought is to get rid of the feeder altogether. I have an Ozone injector manifold after the feeder right before it returns back to the pool via a floor cleaning system and waterfall. The Clear o3 manual instructs that when using the manifold it should be the last unit on the run to the return however in reading it would appear the SWG should be the last. The manifold is plumbed right into the diverter valve to my two circuits. If I need to redo the plumbing all this would need to be replaced as there is no way to cut the manifold out of the circuit.

Here is a photo of my dilemma I would appreciate your input.

Hey there. I would do a couple things..

1. cut the pipe and add a bypass for your heater, filter side 3 way jandy valve and the heater return side a PVC T
2. cut under the existing 3 way valve 90 degree fitting and the 90 degree after your puck feeder and take out that whole assembly..
3. add back a new 3 way valve and 2 90 degree for the returns
4. add pipe to connect a new SWG going horizontal or vertical depending on what SWG you get.. **** see below

Done, sit back and enjoy your new SWG and setup :)

**** A very nice new circupool Core 35 would work perfect in this setup

Thank you for your feedback. I am looking at the CircuPool RJ-20 Plus unless I find any compelling reasons against it.

I hadn't considered a bypass at the heater but that may be a good idea for maintenance and in the summer months when I don't use it. Looks like you are also suggesting to get rid of the chlorine feeder. I would agree unless something happened to the SWG and I needed a backup but I could always use a floater.

I wanted to avoid replacing the 3-way valve however they piped that manifold so tight there is no other option if I want to get rid of it.

I was initially thinking of a vertical mount if I kept the feeder right where it leaves the heater and then in the future get rid of the manifold and install a new 3 way valve like you had suggested. Or I could get rid of the feeder and put the SWG horizontally on that low run. Decisions, decisions.

The RJ 20 is a good option but you will be running at least 12 hours a day, the 35 you could do 6 hours and be good... I now have a SJ 55 on a 15k pool.. :)

You could do the SWG where the UV is now...
