We just got our plaster done on our pool. It was quartzscapes with a quartzscape base instead of sand. I was trying to follow npt startup recommendations and asked my pool builder if I should add chlorine and cyanuric acid slowly. He said wait on chlorine until week 3. Current testing is:
Ph:7.4
Ta:190
Ch:275
Cya:0
Salt:0
Fc:0
Temp:70
CSI: 0.14

Will waiting cause any issues? I have added muriatic acid a few times to reduce the ph. My first test day two after plaster was over 8.2. I have kept it at or under 7.8 from then on. We also brush it 2-3 times a day currently and have brush vacuumed it once to get the leaves and small debris. The pump was on but at a very slow speed so I turned it up to circulate the water a bit quicker. I have never owned a pool so am pretty ignorant. Trying to learn. Any other suggestions?

Follow the NPT start up guide. In 3 weeks you will have algae filled pool.

Keep your FC at 2-3 ppm and add 30 ppm of CYA using the sock method. Don't add stabilizer to the skimmer. Put the stabilizer in a sock and dangle it over a return.
