I noticed recently that one of my skimmers wasn’t collecting much debris and seems to have very little suction in it. I reached down into the pipe and can feel a pine cone stuck a few inches in. Is there any way to get it out? Can I reverse the water flow into the skimmer to try to blow it out or is there another technique that would work?

I would not know about reversing water flow, but you could try blowing it out with an air compressor from/thru the suction lines at you pad.
Also maybe a coat hanger could pull it out.
Do you not have skimmer baskets in your skimmers ?

I do have skimmer baskets. I’m guessing this happened when I had taken them out to clean out the debris.

A side pump would probably work.

Get the water flowing and put the suction hose into the hole to suck it out.

Is the pine cone green or brown?

Is it hard and solid?

If you push on it, will it get pushed deeper into the hole?

Maybe drill a hole in the pine cone and then use a screw to screw into the hole and pull it out with the screw.

To keep the drill above water, get and extension bit.

Use a cordless drill and don't drop it in the water.
