pH While on Vacation

We are going to be gone for a week in August, and are a little worried about maintaining the pH of our pool while we are away. It is a new gunite pool with SWG, so the pH has been always heading to the up side. We have usually been adding muriatic acid every other day to keep it where it needs to be. Suggestions on how to manage this while we are gone would be appreciated.

How much is your pH raising per day? You can lower it to 7.0 and it should take a few days to get it to 8.0. You can also switch off your SWCG and throw some pucks in. They are highly acidic and lower pH.
You can also keep your pool covered 24/7 and it should hold pH stable.

For a week vacation don't change any setting with your swg or runtime if it is already good.

Before you leave adjust ph to 7.5 with acid, then add a couple trichlor pucks to a floater or feeder. They will keep your ph ok for a week. Adjust once back in town, enjoy your trip!
