PH Meter

I use a similar foreign-made pH meter and I find it comparable to the color block test. Sometimes I have trouble distinguishing the different shades of red and the digital meter helps confirm my findings. I do find I have to calibrate it every season though.

I've used those at work for quick field pH measurements. They're just OK; Between temperature effects and the coarse sensitivity of the probes in these types of handhelds, you're probably not going to be significantly more accurate than the color comparators. But if you have trouble visually gauging the color for whatever reason, this wouldn't be a bad way to go.
