FC/TC 4.5-4.5
PH 7.8 - 8.0 hard for me to decipher the color differences
ALK 60
CH 150
Salt 3400, SWG is set at 60% and runs with my pump 12 hours a day

CYA on 7/7/2024 was 60, I have not tested since then

7/4/2024 my PH was 8.0 or higher and I added a gallon of acid, by 7/5/2024 test PH was 7.0 -7.2.
I test PH, FC/TC and ALK daily and my PH rises every day a little bit.

Am I missing something? Or do I just have one of those pools that loves to eat acid?

High TA and low pH causes pH rise.

Stop forcing pH down to 7.0/7.2.

With TA of 60, your pH should be fairly stable between 7.8 and 8.0. Running your pool with a pH of 7.8 to 8.0 is just fine.

I finally received my water bill from filling the pool and I only used 29,100 gallons of water that month, minus the 1,000 that we normally consume means my pool does not hold near as much water as I had been told and previously calculated. I guess those 4' radius corners and the sloping in of the sides in the deep end reduce the volume by far more than I had imagined! Now off to update my profile!
