I have a 30k gal SWG pool and I need to add muriatic acid nearly every week to lower the constantly rising pH. Is this a typical maintenance practice or might there be something I'm not doing correctly that's not holding the pH level steady?

Yeah it's normal, but my acid requirements sure slowed down once my TA dropped from over 200 to about 70 now. I can keep my pH around 7.6-7.8 for quite a while now. This took well over a year to accomplish and I had help from lots of rain and a new water surce introduced to our community in late Fall.
