Pentair Warrior SL, Dolphin Encore, Dolphin E-10, is there any difference ?

Moved in to new house with above ground 24ft (13,5k gal), and looking for new robot.
Is there any difference to these robots, or are they just same generic ones with differnt brand logo slapped on ?

Just to double check, the pool bottom has slight wrinkles, and looks to be vinyl I assume, with glued joints, is it safe to operate on that surface ?

just as you suspect they are all the same.. Maytronics sells 1 for dealers, 1 for inline and one for commercial... they are all a different color as far as I can tell

Only difference I could find with my Warrior SE is the automation mode is not documented but it works just the same as the other brands of this model.

The warrior sL & the e10 have a 40ft cable
The encore has a 50ft cable other than that their operation is no different. They all have the simple controller with 1 button. No scheduling or automation mode.

This is a not perfect list of what is the same.

The E10, Nautilus CC, Doheny's Advantage are all about the same. Pentair Prowler 910 should also be the same. Any of these will work for your size pool.

One of my buddies has a Dolphin with just two plates for the filter. I like the "Basket" style better.

If you go on maytronics.com & search each model you can see the specs & differences. For instance The nautilus cc has a longer cord than the e10 & also has scheduling & automation mode. The robot body is the same.

I have the SL, bought it and on the brochure and website it says it will clean walls. Which it doesn't .

Contacted Pentair, still waiting for an answer.

Do you guys know if a robot can clean walls on a ABOVE ground pool, or nothing exist for now?

Can't think of any reason why it wouldn't. Mine climbed up and down curves no problem had had a little routine to go up and down all along the water surface that cleaned right there all around the pool. Was very cool to watch. Somehow it knew right where the water level was and it would have a blast of water pushing it right against the wall and another on right out the side pushing it along. It did 3-5' at a time this way. My only concern would be to be sure the brushing and rubber track tread don't mess up the vinyl liner. I'm sure one of our experts on this kind of pool can comment. @kimkats can you comment?

do you have the warrior SL ? (edit you have the SE in the sig) I just chat with someone having the Encore (seems the same but the supplier , one is Pentair other is maytronics), and she told me his Encore is actually going up to the water line.

She's about to sell me the Encore, but if its the SAME, I wont go into the process to return my Warrior SL to have the same one, but different color.

The SE model got the normal and fast mode, which I believe its wall / no wall mode ? so at the beginning the contol board shows 'clearly' that the SE is climbing the walls.

I'll go to my parents, to see if any different with a inground pool.

I have the Pentair Warrior SE. They're all made by Maytronics and branded for other manufacturers. I didn't select a mode, just set it in automation mode and ran it on a smart plug so it ran every morning for 2 hours. All I did was clean the filter once per week. Pool was spotless even day after I power washed the pavers around it. TFP+swg+robot is waaaaay better than a pool service.

a fast update, I bought a used ENCORE and despite the fact both look the same but the color, the ENCORE will CLIMB the above ground pool walls !!!!

Returning right now the Warrior SL.

Note I also tried it in a inground pool, same, when it hits the wall, it change direction. Also re-try in my pool, nothing.

Ive compared both robot and I might figured out why;

- ENCORE model got these little doors OPEN under the machine. Inside the machine there's little flaps on hinges, BOTH robot got the flaps, but the WARRIOR got blanks under the robot (where the arrows are).

- So my guess is when the robot is vertical, the flaps open and the suction is great enough to make the robot climb.

- I won't try it, but I believe if I remove the WARRIOR blanks, the robot will climb

The warrior sL seems to be a pentair branded e-10 type floor only model. Although many have reported they climb the wall on occasion its not a documented or advertised feature.

I have the warrior SE and it climbs walls on an AG, it climbs randomly, so you may see it go to the wall and back up. but it will decide when it climbs and when not to.

I bought the Encore last week for my 24ft Above Ground, and it's climbing walls no problem.
Pretty happy with the purchase so far, just not sure if I need the fine mesh basket replacement
