Not trying to sound dense, but where? Where am I looking for water at this point? Do you mean water pressure showing on the gauge/from the jets?If you still see no water

Try filling the pot with water as you did before and replace the lid. Turn on the pump and as it is priming, turn the valve in front of the pump so the handle is facing the pipe labeled skimmer. If you still see no water, try turning the handle in the opposite direction so it faces main drain. As the pump is trying to prime, open the Air Relief valve on top of the filter briefly to allow air to escape. When you have the handle facing skimmer, take a peek inside of the skimmer at the poolside and see if there's any water movement

Yes, will continue to keep an eye on things more closely. When I release air from the filter air relief valve, do I need to put the pool in service mode every time or just turn the valve to release and turn it back? FWIW, it doesn't seem like much/any air escapes. I actually ended up getting on the phone with Pentair and they walked me thru it and maybe a little air came out initially (like kind of how it sounds when you open a plastic liter bottle of soda), and then I did it one more time when I was following your steps but didn't seem like any air was releasing. The water in the pump basket was getting warm because there was no flow. This is not good, but keep monitoring and make sure things go back to normal. Continue to release air from the filter air relief valve until it clears. If you changed the position of the valve in front of the filter, put it back where it was. When you do, continue to monitor to make sure your pump doesn't begin to starve for water.
You only want to do this while the pump is running. All you're doing is releasing air from the filter. Once most or all of the air is gone, you're done. You only need to do this after opening up the system, such as what you did when you open the pump lid.Yes, will continue to keep an eye on things more closely. mine has never been at 9 or 3 either.I understand what you are saying, but it is impossible to get ours exactly at 9 and 3. It has never sat exactly at 9 and 3 as long as we've owned the pool. Here's the inside/outside setup:

It's always sat slightly off like that. But I can assure you it's on tight/secure.
