Pentair sheer descent wall - potential leak

We built a pool earlier this summer. I have a 5 foot sheer descent water fall that works as it should, however; I have noticed there is an area on the external back wall that looks like it is wetter than the rest. The first thing I noticed before inspecting the back of the water wall, was the actual lip line of the sheer descent is always wet even after not using it for over a month. Is that normal?

My builder is coming to inspect this issue, but wanted to ask if this looks like a leak in the wall (lower left area -picture attached) and how do you test for this type of leak?

Do you have any pictures of the plumbing in the concerned area prior to Shotcrete?

I was hoping for some clarity of what the plumbing might look like in that area, is the dirt in that area saturated or only moist?
Is the water stain at the same level as the pool water or is it above that level?

I know its a poor picture The dirt up against the wall is not wet at all, just the wall. The wall moisture area does go a little above the water level in the pool.

You said the moisture area remains even if you have not run the water feature. What about when you run it for say a full day?
