I have tried to troubleshoot this myself and I have searched the internet and the archives here. I know i probably wont give you all the info you need so my apologies in advance. I am in my second year of pool maintenance. First year opening the pool myself. It went pretty well at first. Initially after i got the pumps drained of antifreeze then everything re primed it all was going smoothly. Needed salt. I added salt. IChlore 30 and salt test strips said I still needed more salt. Pool heated up so i know water was moving overnight long enough to heat Up. I checked levels of everything and added the appropriate amount of acid/salt/liquid chlorine/CYA/. It's still cool here so no one was in it. Week later i happened to be out at pool side. checking all levels again. Still calling for salt and the test strip still said around 2200. Added more salt next day according to pool math numbers. While I was out there I noticed that the pump was not running and the pool temp was much cooler than the set temp. Ichlore30 was still complaining about low salt, ( I had just added so I figured this was normal equilibrium time). Turned off breakers to reset everything and pump starts up then stops for no reason . Was getting connection lost to chlorinator alerts in ScreenLogic app. That was on Sunday. I had to leave town for three days after that. My remote access is down for some reason on the app. (That needs fixed too) I Looked at pump today and the salt level is good and Ichlor30 is happy but I still have no steady pump flow. It is set in the app to run basically 24 hours. The app shows the currently scheduled event is taking place but the pump is definitely not on. The app is giving me a Chlorinator: Low Flow Error and Cleaner on Delay Error. I have not stood out by the pump long enough to see what the cycle to on and of is or even if there is an on /off event happening. Please help.

Edit: Just went to panel. Even though app says pump is on it isn't. Pushed pump button on panel and the pump started and ran for 1minute and 6 seconds. Then stopped... I repeated this twice. Same result

My current schedules
I have messed around a little with it this weekend. If i put the pump in service mode it will run for the entirety of the egg timer 10 minutes. I still need more salt according to the strip which i will do today. It just doesn't make any sense.. some times it runs for a couple of hours. Other times it shuts off after a couple of minutes. I was outside with it quite a bit yesterday and it has no rhyme or reason.

Hart,

So, it appears to me that you want your pump to basically run 24/7. I suggest that you set up the Pool Circuit to run from 8 am until 8 am.

My guess is that you keep manually turning the pump on or off using the "F" button. The problem is depending on when you turn it on or off, you can screw up the schedule for 24 hours. What this causes is that the pump will run until the egg timer times out. The default egg timer is 12 hours.

Egg timers are only there for things you start manually. As an example. I have a fill line that I turn on manually, as I never know when the pool will need water, but I do know that when I turn it on, I want it to automatically shut off after an hour. Egg-timers count as schedules and you only have a max of 12, so all egg timers should be left at the default of 12 hours. (Default egg-timers do not count as schedules.)

Running 24/7 will let you make a little chlorine all the time and skim all the time. It is what I do, and I love it...

In the Service mode the pump should not run unless you push buttons on the pump...

When in AUTO mode, the pump is controlled by the EasyTouch.. All the speeds you want the pump to run are stored inside the EasyTouch and not in the pump itself.

Try that and see what happens.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Originally the PB seat up the schedules to run all the time. It was odd to me that he ran a split schedule with a minute break on the end. That is the only reason I had it set that way. I have no issue with 24/7 pump running. So I changed the schedule to run from 7:59AM to 7:58 AM every day. It ran all day yesterday but was off when I woke up at seven this morning.

Here is everything as of 4:18 today Tuesday the 3rd

Chris,

Please set the Pool Circuit to run 8 am until 8 am. (Note that both times are the same) Let's see what happens.

Push the reset button on the main panel and do not manually turn anything on. Pushing the reset is like rebooting your PC, it will not erase anything. It might take a few minutes for everything to come back on line.

Let me know what happens.

Thanks,

Jim R.

I hilt the Reset button. It is still not working properly. It was off when i got home from work tonight. It is frustrating because it seems very random, and this type of equipment should not be random. Zit should run or not run..Unless it is in the software. I can't sit at poolside and see how long it runs.. It ran most of the day yesterday without me doing any resettIng. I am just turning on the pump. Nothing else. If I check it sometimes in the app it says its on but the power numbers are zero, the rpm is zero and the flow is zero. Even though the app says the pool pump is on.

Chris,

You are right it should not do what you say it is doing.

Turn the pump off tonight using the "F" button.

Make sure you have a schedule for Pool set for 8 am until 8 am.

See if the pump starts at 8 am or before. Do not touch the "F" button for 24 hours and tell me what happens.

I assume you have made sure the two wires from the pump cable are connected well at J20 com port and are not making an intermittent connection.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Thanks to everyone who offered their help. Everything is up and running properly now. Not sure what all the hiccups were but the pump is staying on as scheduled. The IChlor30 was bad and I replaced it under warranty. Unfortunately the Polaris pB4SQ is now leaking from what appears to be the label on the pump housing. I can't catch a break here.
