Pentair Quad 60 air relief valve

The air relief valve on my Quad 60 is starting to leak. I would like to get a replacement before I attempt to tighten it to the filter lid, since it is plastic and I don't want to be down if it breaks. The manual for my filter shows part number 98220100 for the air relief assy and I can buy this, but the Pentair web site is showing part number 98209800 for the assy. My question is, are these two parts interchangeable? If the newer version is better designed I would go ahead and get that one if it will work.

I noticed on Amazon a brass replacement that might outlast the plastic one https://www.amazon.com/Pentair-V20-225-Replacing-73027-98209800/dp/B00BJS5ZDE/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1497892021&sr=8-6&keywords=98209800

Wonder if this would be viable replacement.
