Pentair Mastertemp 400 Combination Gas Control Valve Issue / Question

Hello Everyone - I discovered my heater went out and called a local company to come take a look. Turns out, I've been hosting a mice hotel in my heater and they effectively have somehow chewed on where one of the electrical connections connects to the Gas control valve (see arrow in pic). My question is, before I replace the whole thing, there is another prong for a connection right next to where the corroded one broke off. I cant find any schematics on the valve itself, wondering if anyone knows if the still good connector, right next to where the broke one should be, is the same connection? And if I could just plug onto that one? Im thinking obviously it's there for a reason, so doubt I'll be so lucky, but thought I'd ask. Thanks in advance for the help!

You have three tabs in the TH side of that connection block. Use your multimeter to confirm the three tabs are connected together. If so then that middle tab on the TR side should work. It is pretty corroded and may not make a good electrical connection.

Thanks for your reply @ajw22 - I was able to clean the contact and see all of those post were connected. I put the contact on the middle one and it fired right up. The pool service company wanted $400 for a new valve and $200 for labor. Seems anyone who works on this widely used heater would think/know you could use the other posts. Glad it's fixed and glad this thread is here for others now.
