Yesterday afternoon, I disconnected the leaf canister - took it out altogether - then I futzed around with the hose connections, 0ne of them was very loose and came undone when I turned the whole thing off...

verything is humming along nicely! I will order a new leaf canister today, this one is 3 years old, maybe the Arizona sun has taken it's toll...
Today I will check that nut bit, it does look cracked in the photo...
