Pentair Intelliflo 3hp VS pump issue with Iaqualink-Jandy

We have a 10,000 gallons pool with a small spa. We have a salt system connected to our pool automation as well.
We have a pentair Intelliflo 3hp VS pump and a pool automation from jandy iaqualink.
Quite often there is a disconnect between pump and pool automation and we have to manually use the pump.
Questions:
1- If we need to replace this pool pump, do we go Jandy or Pentair? Will a 1.5HP do just fine or should we get another 3HP for our pool size?
2- Any ideas how to do a factory reset on this Pentair Intelliflo 3hp VS pool pump so it can reconnect to the Jandy iaqualink automation?

It's always best to stick with the same maker when automation is involved. Jandy's support for other makers is very weak. Why set yourself up for problems?

What model salt system.

Jandy unless you intend to dump your Aqualink, like I did, and move to the Pentair ecosystem.

Will a 1.5HP do just fine or should we get another 3HP for our pool size?

With a spa a 3HP pump will give you better spa jet flow and be quieter.

Nothing a reset would do will effect RS-485 control of the pump by the Aqualink.
