Pentair Clean and Clear Replacement Cartridges

Hi all,

Have 10 year old Pentair 520 cartridge filter. I have replaced cartridges once about 4 years ago. Probably time to replace again. Is there a difference among brands? Pentair vs others?

Welcome to TFP! As long as the cartridge is the same dimensions, it shouldn't really matter. Lots of options out there. I replace my filters with Pleatco for a very reasonable price.

My cartridges are over 6 years old.. I will be very disappointed if I don't get 10 years out of them.

I would not replace them based on time, but on their condition.. Color does not matter..

Why do you think yours are bad??

I've got a band or two that have snapped. Although, except during pollen season, I can go several months without any significant pressure increase.
