Pebble Tec - too much plaster in the corners?

Rootyb - quick question for you. How often are they coming out to do your chemical maintenance? The water has been in my pool for about a week now, but they have only been out once to check the chemical level. When the pool startup guy came out on June 10th, he had the following reading:

FC 2.0
CC (non recorded)
pH 7.6
TA 90

I did a test today, and got the result of

FC 1.0
pH 8.2
TA 220 (my tap water is 350)
CH 75
CYA 25

I am wondering if the startup / pool maintenance guys are supposed to be out more often to manage the chemical. So how often is the pool chemical guys coming out to check your water parameters?

Update:

Now a month after our pool refinish was "completed" (and, unfortunately, our final payment made), and there's still a hole in our yard with expose plumbing, we're still missing the float valve in our skimmer, we haven't received the extra heads for our water feature, and said water feature is still far too tall.

*sigh*

Collaborating on my wife with a sternly-worded letter.

So, our pebble tec (tahoe blue) went in yesterday, acid washed today, and we're filling now (soooo slowly). Looking at the corners of our shelf/step, practically all of them have a lot more of the blue plaster showing through than the rest of the surface, which looks kind of crappy IMO.

pics:
There's also some plaster streaks on the rest of the PT surface, but I think that will go away as the pool fills.

Is this something that will diminish as the pool fills and chemistry gets sorted out? I read something about a no-drain acid wash (which just sounds like ampung up the acidity of the water and letting it dissolve some more plaster), but our PB hasn't mentioned anything like that. I just emailed and asked our guy, so we'll see what he says, but I wanted a preemptive second-opinion.

I'm also a bit nervous because, like a dope, when they asked for the final payment when the ptec was going in, I didn't think about it and just gave it to them. I *could* stop payment on the check if necessary, but... I don't know. This is a pretty established company in our area (Premier Pools in Sacramento), one of only two that do Pebble Tec, and I'm not *too* worried, but still a little.

Thanks for any input!

Hey Rooty,

I know this was absolutely forever ago, but we just did our pebbletec this weekend and I'm noticing the same kind of streaking as you did. I'm wondering if you ever heard back from pebble tec or if it resolved itself before I go raining hellfire on the pool company. ;)

Thanks!

Hey!
The streaks mostly evened out (though we have a weird-ish streak in one part of our pool. No big deal though). The extra plaster in the corners is still there, but we don’t even notice. I suspect you’ll be happy with yours when it’s all said and done. 😁
