Patching liner

So My liner has a rather large tear, 2-3", in a star shape. Looks to me like there was a small tear and it tore in a few different directions like cracked glass. Couple questions. The tear is above the water line, for now so a few questions.

1) Can a tear this large be successfully repaired, even temporarily?
2) What's the Best method, glue etc to fix it?

Everything I've seen appears to be as easy as a bike tire patch, is that the way to go?

Thanks,

Matt

Yes it can be patched to squeak balance of season.
The rip shape & it being above waterline means replacement time, best to go into winter with a new liner.
