Paramount “something”

Bought a house and the pool befuddles me. Was built in about 2009. The pool as a lot of gadgetry including an infloor cleaning system. It’s a small dipping pool and spa, and it was one skimmer alongside a Paramount “something”. this Paramount device turns on when the cleaner runs but I feel no pressure in our out of the inlet (or outlet) below.

Anyone know what this is. I’ve been hoping it’s a vacuum but I’m not so sure.
