Good evening everyone. I just found this forum and man I wish I did earlier. I am working with a consultant on an owner build pool in Queen Creek and we start our layout and excavation this week. I believe I have my contractors set for everything but shotcrete but would love to hear any recommendations others have especially with shotcrete.

I’m attaching a picture of our pool. I can’t wait to have it completed and be able to enjoy our new backyard!!

Hello Kids! That's quite a nice looking pool. Very stylish with the spa perpendicular to the pool. The spill over should help keep the baja shelf refreshed with water.
Do you have your equipment chosen? Many will let us look over the list and offer suggestions if we see any problems.
We'd love it if you "took us along" on this build and shared plenty of updates and pictures <hint! hint!>

We started our pool today with excavation. Plumbing should be completed by the end of the week! So exciting to be moving after being in the planning stage while we waited to move into the house (been here for a little over a week now).

Rolling right along, plumbing was started today and mostly completed. They’ll be back out to finish Monday morning. Rebar will be completed mid-week with electrical and gas rounding out the week.

Howdy neighbor! Pool is coming right along. I love to see that happen during an o/b. I’ve told quite a few friends to go that route but they “don’t want the hassle” and it ends up taking them forever to get it done. Can’t wait to watch the progress.

And of course the rain would actually come this weekend! AZ has been dry forever but when you are in the stages where you don’t want the rain of course it’s going to rain. Hoping it stops soon and we can dry out so we don’t have delays and any major repairs to the dig from it.

We started our pool build Dec 2, 2020. You know how dry that year was. We got rain right after we dug ours 🙄. It didn’t cause any problems.
