over digging Excavation probelm

We dug an inground pool. shallow end 3/ 12. Deep end 6 feet. They over dug the and made the shallow end too small.
We would like more shallow end.
What are the best options to achieve this?
what is the acceptable slope transition in a pool (30 feet by 30 feet)

The best way to fix it would be to have the excavator or skid steer who dug the pool to dig it to your specifications.

I do not understand how someone overdigs + makes it too small. Did they make the shallow end too deep AND too small.

IF so they can enlarge the shallow area and use the fill to build up the area they over dug.

JUST Be sure that whatever is the base of your pool is compacted.

Most pool builders dump in 3/4 inch gravel into the pool after its dug to smooth out the area, take care of water and drainage issues. They could fill any area that needs to be built up with gravel and compact it with a vibratory compactor.

Are you getting a concrete/ gunite pool or a vinyl liner?

"I do not understand how someone overdigs + makes it too small. Did they make the shallow end too deep AND too small."

What I gather is that it's a 30 x 30 square, and due to over-digging too much of the pool is now considered to be deep, and too little is considered to be shallow. More shallow area is desired.

you got it scotttonofos, fill the over dug area with gunite, if you fill with un-compacted dirt you can have cracking and voids, it will cost a little more for the gunite but its definitely worth the extra $$ for not having a future headache!
