Order of Operations - help with levels AND what do you do before you can use the SWG

Tested again today with my taylor 2600 - which i've been using for the past week and a half.

Used pool math which tells me I need bleach, borax, and stabilizer for my CYA- need to know the order of things.

I have a SWG but right now it's not operational due to low temps (55 water, peak 62 with the blanket on during the day)
- I live in Ottawa. The ice block just melted recently.

Water is clear, pool clean with some debris on bottom I need to vacuum.

What do I do for chlorine until I can run my SWG in the warmer temps?

Today's readings -
0 FC
pH is now around 7 (it drifted down - was a bit higher, and may be an aeration issue, since the vacuum was on instead of the skimmer for the last 36 hours to circulate salt etc)
TA 60
Calcium 180
CYA is 38-40

What's my order of operations? Do I chlorinate, aerate and then see if pH changes?
I know I also want to raise my CYA - do I do that before chlorination? I have a small pool.

Thank you for your help! I am desperate to make sure that I get things right - my 4 kids will be swimming in there including my 7 month old (well, floating/being held) so I want to ensure that things are kosher.

Order of operations:
1. Consider CYA at 40
2. Increase FC to "7". Use regular (plain) bleach. An FC of 7 is the higher end of your range right now since we'll treat your pool as a non-SWG pool for now.
3. Aerate to increase your pH to about 7.4-7.5.

That should get you going for a while. If you find the FC dropping too fast, consider an overnight (OCLT) test to ensure there are no algae concerns.

Make sure you let your sample get up to room temp before doing the CYA test.
