We have a 31x15 inground pool which will be resurfaced in January (2018)

We have been debating about putting in a dolphin mosaic, but comments are making us a little leery,

We have been told that it might hurt us if we sell our house in a few years as most don't like them..
Another told us that you have to be careful on the size, anything in the deep end of the pool will look considerably larger than it actually is.

We have been looking at two colorful dolphins, the one we like the most is 42x26 and the other is 33x14

Opinions appreciated.

Hi! FLORIDA in the house!

I LOVE mosaics! I think they really add to the look of the pool! There a couple of pools in here that have them and they look great. I will look for them to share with you.

Now I would not get your initials or such done but a pretty, well done mosaics that is water/pool themed I think would not hurt the resell value.

I love mosaics but they were just too much money for us. I cannot imagine how they would reduce the value of the house. But if you are selling "in a few years" I would suggest you forgo the expense as they do not add anything.

Hello, and I hope you're enjoying TFP!!

One option you may look into are drop in mosaic mats. These heavy drop in mats can be custom made and will sink to the bottom and stay there. They tend to cost a few hundred bucks but can be easily removed if needed. I've never personally seen them but know they are an option.
