Opening question

I opened my pool today and was shocked to see it was clear. My levels were all in range and my FC was 7. Is that normal to have FC so high after 8 months of pool being closed? Also does that mean that pool is ok to swim in? Thanks in advance

That's a remarkable opening. Congrats to you for closing it up so well.

You are ready to go swimming. With a CYA of 60 all you need to do is keep your chlorine in the 4-6 range (or very close to that) aqnd you set for a great summker.

Thnaks I could not believe it myself. I could not believe the FC stayed over the whole winter. One last question, we usually keep the FC at 8 I know this is a little high for my CYA, are there any negatives to this?

Actually, with CYA of 60 your right in middle of your target FC range between 7-9. So try to keep it in that range and don't let it drop below 5.
