Hello mn resident here. I’m anxious to get my pool up and running someday and I wanna know what to do first? For one my pool is horribly green and algea filled!! And I really want to drain it and add some fresh water. Do I try killing some of the algea first or can I just start draining my pool then add fresh water then start treating it?

Normally we don't advise draining a pool completely as it can be unsafe for the pool structure, walls, or liner. Is your pool an AGP or inground?
