Hey all. We have a 15k gallon above ground, and it's black every year when we open it. I don't know, we winterize and cover, but it's black. Every year, I shock it a few times and run the water through the filter for a few days and it clears up.
This year, I have this greenish blue cloudy water after 2 weeks of keeping chemistry in line and keeping free chlorine in the 3-10 ppm range based on time VS last shock. Obviously backwashing my sand filter at least daily as pressure drops.
It's a salt water pool. Here are my readings based on 3 different kits/methods (strip, drop kit, pool store - all pretty much line up with each other)
Alk 110
Ph 7.6
Cya 35
No tests show anything outside of range.
This is all I've ever had to care about in the past, plus moving chlorine up or down depending on temp, sun, usage etc.
What am I missing? Thanks!
Edit - my fc and tc have been high (5-10ish) for a couple days since it's been cloudy and rainy since my last shock.
