Ongoing Metal Stain Issues - Is there a better way?

I have the kind of stains that are instantly dissolved with Ascorbic Acid.
However, I hate using that due to the difficulties it causes with lowering FC and algae bloom risk. Not to mention, it is just a time-consuming nuisance to do it right!

I have two questions:
Does a metal sequestrant like Sequasol help at all with removing stains or is strictly for prevention?
Is there something else that will gently lift stains or a tool that is effective at choosing large spots, one at a time to remove them?

In summary, is there another way?

The other way is to replace your water that has iron with iron free water.

See the No Drain Water Exchange in Draining - Further Reading

Otherwise you must keep adding sequestrant yo Kerp the iron in suspension or it will deposit on pool surfaces.

Putting crushed vitamin C tablets in a dock and rubbing it on an area will let you spot treat iron stains.
