So, I did a full set of tests almost 3 weeks ago. We haven't used the pool or spa much. Between knee pain, surgery, and recovery, I tested for the first time today. Chlorine is just north of ideal range, pH is in the ok range (7.8), and all I have to do is get the spa to the right temp and wait for the weather to clear to jump (ok, step carefully) in for some at-home therapy.
I am not recommending this kind of span between tests, but it's nice to know that when life happens a little benign neglect won't turn the pool green overnight, as long as you're following TFP practices, know your pool, and have the SWG and automation dialed in.

I like to joke that I had a 2 week staycation from pool care. Every 2 weeks. I mean. I was there. And I triple checked the obnoxious sparkle everyday. But I basically just stood around waiting to be useful. At the 10 day mark I’d brush the pool just trying to do something……. *anything*….. to appease the pool gods to keep them happy.

I don't even brush. I send our robot out for three runs. I did look at the sparkle. I'm exhausted.

Move over Cannonball and Helloooooooo Can Opener. (Hold the bad knee while jumping with the good leg). Epic splash to follow, bad knee protected and therapy can begin. (y)
