onBalance startup question

I have a new pool being plastered today. I'm going to do the onBalance startup. My question is over the course of the next 4 weeks what if anything is used for sanitation since it states NOT to add salt for 30 days. I did see a note that says use Dichlor or Trichlor but wanted a little more clarification if I would use this even though I'm going to be eventually using the Salt generator.
And if I do need to add something for sanitation, when should I start adding it and how much, how often?

The fill water tests from my spigot that I will be adding today:
PH 7.0
CH 210
TA 300
No metals present.
These results were from Leslies and pretty close to what I got testing them myself except I got a TA of 350.

You can use pucks that also contain cyanuric acid, since you will need that stabilizer anyway. Or you can add stabilizer on its own and just use liquid chlorine (aka household bleach) to sanitize the water until you start up the SWG.

You need a good test kit (see TFTestkits.net for the ones we suggest) and based on your test results and the use of PoolMath app (see at top of page) it will help you know how much to add.

Here are some guidelines: Pool School - Recommended Levels Pool School - Start-up New Plaster

Yes, trichlor, dichlor or bleach are needed. It is fine to use any of those in a pool that is intended for future saltwater chlorine generator. It is important to maintain FC in your pool to avoid algae so that you don't have to SLAM Process the pool during the first 30 days.
