I've been using all these methods for years, although I'm kinda lazy and often just check my ph/chlorine once a week.
I have 2 locations with some algae i cannot get rid of. They are like stuck to my pebble tech. They started last year, and I SLAM and got rid of them over the winter. Well now they are back in exactly the same spot! I brush them daily, scrubbing as hard as i can. I have cranked my pool up to get my FC up high enough it should kill it. What kind of algae glues itself to pebble tech and won't seem to die?
Salt cell 1.6lbs a day, pump run 10 hours, 18k gal pool, attached spa.
FC - 6
CC - 1
PH - 7.2-7.5
Salt - 4k
TA - 140
Calcium - 500+
CYA - 50/60
