Old Jandy Valve Rebuild- Convert to Never Lube?

I have no idea how old this valve is, but it’s elderly, and it finally started leaking. I think it’s an 1154 gray model and that I can not only rebuild it but convert it to a Never Lube style by swapping out the guts. Can someone please confirm those two points?

If all the above is correct, would this kit do the job or is there another option? Searching the forums, I see an old post about the diverter kit containing a red plug for the grease cup, but I’m not seeing that in the kit I linked.

The kit you linked to is not a genuine Jandy kit and thus goes not have the red plug.

Ok, so none of the aftermarket kits have the plug? I found this OEM one but I’m still not 100% sure it’s what I’m looking for. And it doesn’t include the O-rings.

Can anyone confirm the model for me? Jandy 1154? Also, does anyone have an opinion on rebuilding versus swapping out for new? Swapping might be a headache because I don’t have much pipe to work with after cutting off the old valve, but new is practically the same price as the kit, and I’d be shocked if my valve is fewer than 20 years old. Seems to be in decent shape, though.
