Okay to add salt during SLAM?

I’ve just started the SLAM and the salt level is low for my SWG controlled pool. Is it okay / advisable to add during the SLAM, or better to wait until done?

It wont hurt anything but if you read through the instructions it says not to add or test anything other than FC and liquid chlorine during a SLAM.

Welcome to TFP.

You should not be using your SWG during the SLAM Process. You need much more FC then the SWG can generate and it makes it difficult to track your FC loss.

Thanks. I’ve disconnected the SWG and will add salt when done with SLAM.
