OK, this is Bizarre...Never Seen This Before___Any Ideas???

I opened the pool today. I first ran the Jacuzzi Spa in a closed loop. Valves set for drawing water only from the Spa....Returning water only to the Spa.

The pump primed nicely, pressure gauge came up to the right number. The filter was first set to recirculate. The heater came on perfectly and a spark lit the burner...all good....SO FAR

After about 10 - 20 seconds, a very large flow of water began spewing from the Spa Air Intake...I have always assumed this is used to mix air with the water returning into the Spa. And it's a lot of water coming out.
It'll drain he spa in 5 minutes.

So it seems to me: Air in is good, water out bad! What's up with that ?????

I noticed that if the return valve position to make the water go to the spa was switched over to the return to the pool, the water stopped flowing out the Air Intake.....so something it seems if wrong on the RETURN side.

The photo shows the air intake pipe coming up out of the ground, with the water coming out.....when the return valve is set for the Spa. When set to return to the pool, the water stops.

I have had three pools with the Air Intake and Spa...it gurgles when operating normally, i.e. bringing the air IN when the spa is running.......does anyone know what is happening here? This is a new one for me.

Sounds like there are plugs still in the spa jets.

OMG, that's right. Too funny. I forgot about that. Amazing.... I have been traveling a lot...got home at 3 AM....and totally forgot to pull the plugs. Thanks, awesome.

I have two friends with pools and have turned them on to TFP Method. One of these guys had a "pool service" that provided three years of ONLY stabilized tabs for prime CL source. Last summer, he came over to our house and was amazed at the clear water we have and begged me to help him with his green water that stayed green no matter how much CL he added........Help him...which I did. I told him what the problem was going to be before he brought the sample over....
He wasn't thrilled to drain 1/2 the pool, but he did it and he is A) ecstatic and B) a new TFP Member. And bought the TF-100 kit too.

The spa is running perfectly now....cleaning out the leaves....bringing the pH down from 8+ and CL up from 0.0. Thanks again.
