Pool was green and I slammed for 1 week. Turned blue but cloudy. Chlorinines dropped to 0, passed over night test but still cloudy. Scrubbed and vacuumed and everyday. l had to work 48 hours in a row and wasn't able to do anything with pool. Came home and chlorine was at 2 and still blue and cloudy. Decided to start slam again. Ph at 7.3 added 1 gallon of 10% chlorine. Only brought the chlorine up to 7. Added another gallon in quart increments. After two gallons chlorine is only up to 8. This was about 3 hour process total. Please help!
 
SLAM isn't complete until all 3 exit criteria are met. Cloudy water is a fail and you don't need multiple fails such as cloudy water *and* overnight loss.

You need to filter all the dead / mostly dead algae out. This is the stage which tests everyone's patience after quick visible progress in the chemical part of the fight. Now it's a mechanical fight.

Keep the FC up as when you brush and vac, you'll likely expose new layers of algae needing to be killed. Plus, you don't want to chance losing any ground in the battle. It's not hard at this stage as the FC mostly holds.

Brush and vac daily. Monitor the filter for cleanings. Maintain SLAM fc. You got this

Not trying to be rude but did you read my post? I didn't quit slam on purpose, I had to work 48 hours before it was complete. And the point of the post is I can't seem to get my chlorine level back up to slam level
