I meant to add 31 oz acid and I added 41. My TA is 90. I meant to aerate to get my TA down from 90. I just need to aerate longer or is there something else I should do? thx!

how long should I have to leave my bubbler on? I only have a bubbler, the one means of aerating the pool. It's on the baja shelf in the corner of the pool

oh, good. thx. pool school says "To lower TA you reduce pH to 7.0-7.2 with acid and then aerate to increase pH." I'm trying to picture what that really looks like. What number do i raise pH up to? or am i continuing to check my TA throughout the time it takes me to aerate? To get a rough idea should I check every 1/2 hr or r we probably talking hours before needing to recheck...?
i'll check pH and see how far it's dropped. I added it a good 1/2 hr ago so it should be mixed in good by now

The act of adding acid is what drops your TA (and pH). Then if you need to, aerate the pool to increase pH. Repeat as needed or desired. Since you have limited aeration capabilities, it's going to take hours+ / day to raise pH. As I mentioned, there's no way for us to guess. Just aerate for a while and check pH again tomorrow sometime.
