My sand filter sometimes start leaking and sprays water from the top. After many tries I have replaced the O-ring used the proper silicon-based lubricant and I guess my real question is how tight does one tighten the clamp ring. Also any other pointers would be appreciated. It seems to do well for about 3 to 4 days then once again starts leaking and spraying water. The pics show how much I tighten the clamp. Thanks

We recently replaced our O ring under the multiport valve. At first it continued to drip as was the initial problem, but then Skippy turned the flange a bit and by the next day it entirely stopped. He guesstimates that it just needed to warm up and set into the space a bit. <shrug> I don't know but the turning of the flange seemed helpful. Try that.
